Equestrianism

or horsemanship has a history dating
back thousands of years.

Our program is all encompassing.
Riding instructors teach not only maneuvering abilities
inside the ring, but also the total care of the animals
outside the ring. While focus is on traditional English
riding techniques, there are also special segments
explaining the cultural differences locally
with the legendary horsemanship of the Cossack riders
and riders from the American West, Middle East,
Asia and Continental Europe.

Equestrian Program

Developing equestrian skills can be quite expensive. Parents or guardians of the young equestrians can spend thousands of euros a year and that doesn't even include the horse, stable, feed and care. Beyond the expense, it's a tremendous time commitment, beginning at an early age. Our program takes these realities into consideration and provides the right environment where young riders who may have never experienced the joy of riding and connecting with a horse the opportunity for a very positive experience and the proper support to pursue their equestrian dreams if they show talent and a desire to go further with the sport. The program is not so much about bringing up the next Olympic gold medalist as it is about exposing disadvantaged kids with troubled backgrounds to the care of proud animals who will reward their riders with unconditional love, loyalty and devotion. A priceless experience which they may take into other areas of their lives.

Goals:

  • To ensure accessibility of equestrian training to all children, including those from low-income families, and support talented children who want to pursue their interests in equestrianism.
  • To promote social rehabilitation of orphans and other children who need social support, broadening opportunities for their social adaptation.
  • To promote a healthy lifestyle, equestrianism as a mass sport, family entertainment, and a means of education for children.

Objectives:

  • Organize regular equestrian tournaments for talented children who are devoted to equestrianism.
  • Introduce children from orphanages and boarding schools, children from low-income families and other children who need social support to equestrian events and the unique feeling of unconditional love animals can provide in one's life.
  • Identify talented children, organization of their training and preparation for selection to club teams, upbringing of future equestrian champions, Olympic hopefuls, trainers, jockeys, veterinarians and stable owners.
  • Promote charity and volunteerism, attracting concerned people, public figures, and business leaders to help with the program implementation.

Golf is relatively new to Russia.

The history only dates back to the 1970s when
Leonid Brezhnev started looking for ways to attract
Western businessmen.

Over a decade later the first 9 hole course was built in 1989
by Swedish hockey star Sven "Tumba" Johansson.
Today there are more courses and golf is growing in popularity,
but there's not enough courses and little being done
to inspire new golfers. Sport-Express Foundation is commited
to introducing youth to the sport with a series of clinics
and tournaments designed to develop young talent
into tomorrow's golf pros.

Golf Program

Now that golf is officially an Olympic sport in the next Summer games in Rio de Janeiro, we want to popularize the sport more and expose it to kids who may have an interest, but who may be least likely to pick it up, because of their socio-economic situation. It's our goal to give them access to the few courses that exist. We also want to give them an understanding of the game and proper golf etiquette on the course. Not just the rules as practiced by the PGA National Russia, but also access to proper instructors, where they can develop as golfers and acquire a love for the game. Mastering a game like golf instills self confidence. Not only for those who may become tomorrow's pros and have a basis to compete globally should they decide to do so, but also those who may take that acquired confidence with them in their careers where golf can also play an important role.

Goals:

  • To ensure accessibility of golf to all children, including those from low-income families, and support talented children who care to pursue the game of golf.
  • To promote social rehabilitation for orphans and other children who need social support, broadening opportunities for their social adaptation.
  • To promote healthy lifestyle, golf as a mass sport, family entertainment, and a means of education for children and youth.

Objectives:

  • Organizing regular golf tournaments for children to motivate devotion to golf and select young golf talent.
  • Introducing children from orphanages and boarding schools, children from low-income families and other children who need social support to participate in golf events.
  • Targeted selection of talented children, organization of their training and preparing them for selection to golf club teams, upbringing of future golf champions, business executives, professionals and entrepreneurs.
  • Promoting charity and volunteering, attracting concerned people, public figures, and business leaders to the program implementation.
  • Creating conditions for partnership of business community and leading mass media to develop grassroots golf and related sectors, promote consumer demand and social and economic activity of the population.

Strategic thinking games

like Chess are few and far between in a world
dominated by computer games and mobile apps.

The next great chess champion may or may not come
from our program, however we do have high hopes
for our kids' prospects in business and other professional
pursuits. The children who go through our program not
only learn to master the game of chess. They also learn
to think more strategically in other areas of their lives.

Chess Program

The game of chess originated in India and has evolved over 1500 years to today's version which can be found on everything from computers to mobile devices. The game is accessible but perhaps not well understood or appreciated by younger generations who have had other diversions for their minds that are less about analytical thinking and strategy than violence and instant gratification. We aim to introduce children from all socio-economic backgrounds to the traditional game of chess and teach not only a strict adherence to the rules and proper conduct as set forth by the World Chess Federation (FIDE), but also a lifelong love for the game, so that it can be preserved and handed down to future generations to enjoy.

Goals:

  • To ensure understanding and appreciation of chess to all children, including those from low-income families, and support talented children who care to take up the game of chess.
  • To promote social rehabilitation for orphans and other children who need social support, broadening opportunities for their social adaptation.
  • To promote understanding World Chess Federation (FIDE) rules and guidelines and chess as a mass sport, family entertainment, and a means of education for children and youth.

Objectives:

  • Organize regular FIDE certified chess tournaments for children to motivate devotion to chess and select young chess talent.
  • Introduction of children from orphanages and boarding schools, children from low-income families and other children who need social support to participate in chess events.
  • Targeted selection of talented children, organization of their training and preparing them for selection to chess club teams, upbringing of future chess champions, business executives, professionals and entrepreneurs.
  • Promote charity and volunteerism, attracting concerned people, public figures, and business leaders to help with the program implementation.
  • Create conditions for partnership of the business community and leading mass media to develop grassroots chess and related efforts, promote consumer demand, social and economic activity of the population.

Extremely popular: extreme sports

Our world is constantly changing, and sport is no exception. Some sports get out of date and others – like extreme sports – come to the fore and become extremely popular, especially among young generation. In today’s Russia, extreme sports are among the most loved ones – and also one of the most promising. To move from a few successful athletes to a whole constellation of champions, we need to evolve this exciting, but rather expensive kind of sports.
